Sophisticated diagrams and dashboards
ILOG Diagram for .NET is the most comprehensive set of tools, components and libraries for creating graphical editing, visualization, supervision and monitoring tools for the .NET platform. Both diagrams—displays used to show the relationships between objects—and dashboards—displays for monitoring business or industrial systems—can be easily created.

ILOG Diagram for .NET is ideally suited to represent these displays, which include networks, processes, flows, organization charts, and Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams, as well as supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), process control, and executive cockpit dashboard displays.
Built for the .NET ecosystem
ILOG Diagram for .NET is packaged as a set of samples, ready-to-use graphical symbols, and a full-featured software development kit (SDK), completely accessible from the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 environment. Written entirely in C# and accessible from any of the .NET platform languages (such as C# or Visual Basic), it can be used with other .NET products to create Windows Forms, Ajax-enhanced Web Forms, or Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications.
.NET developers will appreciate the smooth integration of ILOG Diagram for .NET's menu, toolbar and design views with Microsoft Visual Studio. Diagrams and graphical objects can be created easily from the design view, using any of several predefined graphic parts; and the properties view allows developers to access the object’s properties and events. All newly created objects can be stored as templates and reused later in the same or other applications.
Versatile graph layout options
At the heart of ILOG Diagram for .NET is
a set of specialized services for diagram (also known as “graphs”) organization, display and editing. For large diagrams with many nodes and links, an automated layout service automatically rearranges the diagram to make it more readable. ILOG Diagram for .NET includes families of all the popular layout algorithms, including hierarchical, tree, force directed, grid and link layouts. Diagram displays also benefit from ILOG Diagram for .NET’s full support of sub-graphs, intergraph links, pools and swimlanes.
Ready-to-use editors
ILOG Diagram for .NET is shipped with three complete graphical editing tools for developers who want to build modeling tools: Diagram Designer, the UML Class Diagram Editor, and the
Business Process Modeling notation (BPMN) Editor.
All of these tools are fully functional, and can be used by developers and end users to create useful symbols or diagram files. They can also be used as starting points for more sophisticated, custom modeling tools. They are shipped with documented source code and are designed to be customized and extended for delivery to end users.
Deploy to the desktop or the Web
Applications created with ILOG Diagram for .NET can be deployed either as Windows Forms
or Web Forms. ILOG Diagram for .NET includes ASP.NET Ajax controls to edit diagrams in Web applications, and to manage smooth refreshes when zooming or panning.
